Mr. Michael Caballes

He is a graduate of BS Agriculture Major in Horticulture in 1998 at the University of the Philippines.

 

He is the Chief Farmer/Owner of Bukid Amara Agri Farm from June 2018 to present.  He developed the farm & won in 2022 an award for the best farm tourism experience. It is an accredited farm tourism establishment by the Department of Tourism  and Learning site for Agriculture by the Agricultural Training institute. 

 

A farmer/agri-preneur who gave up his corporate shoes in exchange for a farming boots. Over  2 decades of experience in agriculture as a professional seedsman and 4 years  as an agri-preneur. A National and pioneering mentor for the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE) Kapatid Agri - Mentor Me Program (KAMMP) mentoring farmers, young agri-preneur, cooperatives, agriculture extension workers and business owners in the business of farming. Serves as technical consultant to several corporate farms in the country. He is a skilled semi-pro photographer, an expert in growing flowers  and in commercial greenhouse production and hydroponics,  in creating a cohesive masterplan and  farming system and design.  A board member and Vice President of the Philippine Farm Tourism  Development Association in CALABARZON. 

 

In 2022, He created a new Agri-Technology webinar module for the Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD) of the Professional Regulatory Board (PRC) as creditable CPD unit for Professional licensed agriculturist in the country. In 2021, He created a new, 2- day training module for the Department of Tourism Entitled “Farmsthetic, creating a farm masterplan and farming system with emphasis on aesthetic” which is now implemented nationwide.
